Activists to protest Pasadena police shooting

PASADENA, Texas—Quanell X and other community activists plan to hold a protest Tuesday in front of the Pasadena Police Department.

They’re protesting a deadly officer-involved shooting, which happened over the weekend.

Jose Guadalupe Sanchez was shot and killed by an off-duty officer in front of Moments Gentleman’s Club.

Guadalupe Sanchez and another man were allegedly arguing with the club manager at the time.

Investigators said the officer shot both of the men when they reached for guns.

But relatives say Guadalupe Sanchez couldn’t have reached for a gun, because a car wreck left him without full use of his arms.
