HOUSTON - Two Harris County Sheriff’s Deputies are being credited with helping stop a pair of home invasion suspects.
It was around 10:45 p.m. Sunday in the 700 block of Dunson when the deputies heard gunshots come from the front side of the Green Tree Place Apartments.
The deputies ran to where the gunshots came from and spotted two suspects with guns in their hands. Deputies say the suspects ignored commands to drop the weapons, forcing one of the officers to open fire.
One of the suspects was hit the leg and transported to the hospital in stable condition. The other suspect managed to get away.
The deputies were not hurt.
It was later determined a home invasion had just taken place near where the two suspects were first spotted. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting.
