HOUSTON — A Houston office worker was shot with an arrow before police shot his alleged assailant.
Police say 30-year-old Julie Parker entered the Texas Components Corp. in west Houston about 3 p.m. Monday with a bow, arrows and what proved to be a toy handgun. An employee confronted the woman, who dropped the toy gun but shot an arrow into the chest of 55-year-old Armando Silva.
Police say they arrived and cornered the woman, but she refused to drop the bow. Instead, Houston police Sgt. John Chomiak says she wheeled on officers with the weapon and was shot multiple times.
Harris County Hospital District spokeswoman Heather Sessions says Silva is in good condition and Parker is in critical condition Tuesday, both in Ben Taub General Hospital. Police lack a motive.
