Youth dies after police car wreck

A teenager was killed when a police cruiser collided with an SUV Wednesday night. A Houston Police Department officer was en route to a call when the officer struck a Chevrolet Suburban that had pulled out in front of his car from a side street off Brittmoore, police said. Two passengers in the SUV were ejected. They were taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, where a 16-year-old boy died. The other passenger and the officer had minor injuries.
