HOUSTON -- A Houston police officer said he was forced to open fire on a teenage robbery suspect because the teen pointed a gun in his direction, KPRC Local 2 reported.
The officer said he saw Patrick McZeal, 18, robbing someone Friday night at apartment complex on Leawood and Bissonnet Street.
According to the officer, McZeal did not drop his weapon as he demanded, and instead, pointed it at him.
The teenager was shot in the thigh, but managed to run off. He was caught nearby and arrested.
