Officers shoot suspect while serving warrant

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston police shot a man they say ran toward them during an arrest.

Officers went to an apartment complex on West Little York near TC Jester in northwest Houston Friday afternoon to serve a narcotics warrant. Investigators say the suspect slammed the door, ran off and jumped out a window.

Police told him to stay on the ground, but he allegedly got up and started running at the officers. One of them shot the suspect in the shoulder. He was taken to the hospital.
