HOUSTON (KTRK) -- SWAT officers killed a man who barricaded himself inside a north Houston home, threatening suicide.
It happened at a home on Soway near Kempwood. Police were called to the house because family members said the man in his was suicidal. His brother was inside the home with him trying to talk him out of it.
SWAT officers arrived and the man came to the door.
"As they were beginning negotiations, the male came out with a pistol. He pointed at an officer. Officers fired in fear of their lives and their fellow officers," said Sgt. Colin Howard with the Houston Police Department.
The suspect later died at the hospital.
