HOUSTON -- A Houston police officer shot and killed a man he saw shooting at passing cars. Police said Officer Michael J. Glover spotted the man running along Telephone Road early Sunday, shooting at several cars. Police said Glover fired two shots as he saw the man preparing to shoot at an oncoming car. Four cars were struck by the man’s gunfire. Authorities believe the gunman, whose identity was not released pending notification of relatives, had earlier shot and wounded a security guard at a nightclub when the guard wouldn’t let him into the building, the Houston Chronicle reported in its online edition Sunday. The guard is hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
