HOUSTON CHRONICLE
A Harris County deputy constable shot and wounded a Katy woman Thursday who pointed a shotgun at officers serving an arrest warrant at her home, authorities said.
Theresa Hunter, 51, was shot in the leg about 1 p.m. in the 20200 block of Linden Tree Drive in northwest Harris County, officials said.
Hunter was wanted for a July 4 aggravated assault on a family member charge when officers with the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task force arrived at the scene, officials said.
They tried to persuade Hunter to surrender, officials said.
"They had the house surrounded on all sides," said Assistant Chief John Laine, with the Precinct 5 Constable's Office.
