04/13/02 - HPD officer injured in collision with truck — Houston Chronicle. A Houston police officer was slightly injured when his patrol car crashed into a truck during a chase that later temporarily bogged down commuter traffic on Interstate 10 near the Eastex Freeway.

Excerpt from courtroom testimony of Harris County deputy sheriff Michael Stephens: Parnham also made the deputy admit he looked in on Yates, who was naked in her cell due to a suicide watch, even though a female case worker was standing right there watching her. And on the topic of the interview with the psychiatrist, Parnham asked the deputy if he eavesdropped on that conversation. "No sir, I stood there and listened," responded Stephens. The courtroom erupted in laughter.
